PRSA Memphis is now accepting nominations for the 2026 Communicator of the Year Awards, an annual celebration that recognizes exceptional communication and engagement throughout the Mid-South.

The organization will present three prestigious awards:

Communicator of the Year honors individuals who demonstrate outstanding ability to engage the public, achieve high visibility, and make significant contributions to our community. For more than 45 years, this award has recognized excellence in communication across all sectors—not just public relations professionals.

Legacy Achievement Award recognizes a communications or media professional who has made a lasting impact on Memphis or a local civic or philanthropic organization.

Student Communicator of the Year celebrates emerging talent in the communications field.

Our selection committee evaluates nominees based on the challenges they've faced in achieving their goals and the meaningful impact they've made on our community. Past honorees include Ted Townsend, Dr. James R. Downing, Penny Hardaway, Joe Birch, Cecil Humphreys, Allie Prescott, Linn Sitler, D'Army Bailey, Mayor W.W. Herenton, John Calipari, Dr. Scott Morris, Fred Jones, Beverly Robertson, Molly Meisenheimer, and Otis Sanford.

Know someone who deserves recognition? Submit your nomination by Monday, December 15, at https://bit.ly/COMMS901.

Help us celebrate the communicators who are making a difference in Memphis.
